Williamston Police Report – Jan. 2, 2019

 

Dec. 11 – Walgreens Pharmacy, 201 E. Main St., Williamston reported a shoplifting incident in which two packs of empty 16 count AAA batteries and an empty 4 pack of BIC lighters was found. The value of the items was $41. The report states a white male wearing a pokemon shirt and shorts with no shoes reportedly came in the store with two white females about the time of the incident, but were not observed stealing anything. D. R. Hart investigated.
Dec. 17 – Leo Palmer Conwell, 79, 616 N. Hamilton St., #1×1 was arrested for breach of trust after officers responded to a civil complaint. According to reports, Melica Merideth, a cab driver, stated she was called to AnMed Medical Center to bring Conwell to Williamston. After arriving at the address, Conwell refused to pay cab fare, stating he had no cash and attempted to pay with a check written on a closed account. He was arrested and transported to ACDC. R. Drennon investigated.
Dec. 22 – Sean Deric Smith, 36, 110 Jackson St., Williamston reported an unknown subject gained forced entry to the residence by kicking in the rear door. The residence is under probate and vacant but used as storage. Items missing included a 1981 Clemson National Championship Coke bottle valued at $15 and a Georgia Coke bottle valued at $15, two extension cords valued at $25 and a box of assorted hand tools valued at $25. Damage to the door was estimated at $30. L. B. Culbertson investigagted.
Dec. 23 – Walgreens Pharmacy, 201 E. Main St., reported a shoplifting incident in which items valued at $255 were taken. C. C. Brown, L. B. Culbertson investigated.
Dec. 24 – Darrell Lamar Freeman, 43, 248 Longview Dr., Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched to Dollar General, 526 W. Main in reference to a black male causing a distrubance. K. Anthony investigated.
Dec. 26 – Officers responded to the intersection of “
South Academy St., and Parker St., in reference to found drugs in the roadway. The two small blue bags contained a crystal like residue that later field tested positive for methamphetamine. C. C. Brown investigated.
Dec. 29 – Jason Lee Vickery, 31, 115 West 2nd St,. Williamston was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after officers responded to 32 Ridge Court in reference to a domestic incident with trespass. There was damage reported at $250 but no details made available. K. Anthony, D. R. Hart investigated.
Dec. 29 – Jeffrey M. Strickland, 49, 708 Academy St., Williamston reported while in the back yard, a subject he believed to be a male ran up behind him and pushed him in the back of the neck with his forearm causing him to fall and strike the ground, losing consciousness. The incident remains under investigation. D. R. Hart investigated.
Dec. 31 – Gina Dawn Ricks, 45 502B Garren Rd., Belton was arrested for trespass after officers responded to Family Dollar Store at 1505 Anderson Dr., in reference to a suspicious person on the property asking people for a ride and money. Ricks was located at the intersection of Foster Rd. and Anderson Drive where she was arrested and trans;ported to ACDC without further incident. C. C. Brown, R. Drennon investigated.
Jan. 1 – Aaron Micheal Whitmore, 25, 17
Virginia Drive was arrested for disorderly conduct after officers responded to a family dispute at the residence. According to reports, Whitmore became loud and boisterous and was using profanilty and after multiple attempts to quiet him down, he was placed under arrest. R. Maxwell investigated.
Jan. 2 – Rita Viers, 502 Palmetto Rd., Williamston reported a deceased deer in her front yard that had been shot earlier in the morning. According to reports, a gunshot was heard around 1 a.m. but no car or person was seen. The deer was found the next morning at around 11 a.m. with a gunhot to the neck. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
Jan. 5 – Cecile Nichole Hawkins, 34, 169 Essic Dr., Piedmont was arrested for driving under suspension after a gold Kia van was observed N. Hamilton St,. with no tag light. The tag was suspended for failure to pay taxes. Hawkins was issued a UTT for driving under suspension and transported to ACDC without incident. D. D. Morgan investigated.
Jan. 7 – Cory Dale Chastain, 38, 106 Dacus St., Williamston was arrested for shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance after officers were dispatched to Cricket Wireless, 310 E. Main St. No additional details were provided. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
