The Town of Pelzer maintenance department will be inspecting sewer lines and manholes throughout the town to look for infiltration within the system. This inspection requires them to smoke the system, so residents may see smoke if they happen to be inspecting in your area. There is no need to contact the Fire Dept. , a public notice from the town said. “We want to make sure everyone is aware of what we are doing on your property and in the event you see and or smell smoke, not to be alarmed. We will notify you when we have completed this project. Thank you for your understanding.”
