       Bridge Crew
o   Worked on Shiloh Church Rd. bridge replacement project, repaired damaged guardrail on Scott Bridge Rd., Placed Rip/Rap on shoreline and repaired curbing at Greenpond Landing.
       Ditching Crew
o    Replaced 13 driveway pipes, Built 2 catch basins.
       Asphalt Crew
o   Repaired 25 potholes (request [100%] and proactive), 11 driveway aprons, strip patched 2 x-lines on Cox Rd., and Woody Acres Ct, full depth patch on Fitzroy Dr.
       Grading Crew
o   Replaced x-line culvert on Cox Rd., Woody Acres Ct., and repaired x-line culvert on Griffin Farm Rd. repaired road bed on Parker Rd.
       Vegetation Crew
o   Received 20 request and completed 20 request for tree removal.
o   Booming operation; sections 3 and 4 are 100% completed
o   Booming operation; section 5, 75% completed.
o   Booming operation; section 2, 80% section 6, 50% completed,
o   Booming operation; section 1, 75% complete with section 4 helping and section 7, 75% complete with section 3 helping in this area.
o   7 request, 15task completed (includes clean ups, trimming, and tree removals).
       Engineering Crew
o   Completed pavement evaluations for 8 pavement segments.
o   Checked pile cap elevations and surveyor’s anchor rod staking for Shiloh Church Road bridge project. Rock Springs Dairy Estates Road Improvements contract was sent to Purchasing Dept. to Advertise. Attended pre-construction meeting for C-Funds paving contract.
o   Completed 2 County Rd. issues request, completed 4 Encroachment Inspections (2 final inspections). 2 Plan Approval for Encroachment Permits.  Completed 13 paving estimates. 6 locates for contractors. 211 task completed (206 were night inspections of interstate lighting). 1- Traffic Study
o   Received 1 Right of Way inquiry, Processed 3 Encroachment Permits, Worked on 6 R/O/W acquisitions (11 in negotiations, 8 awaiting closing, 3 on hold).
o   One proposed road abandonment (Gleneddie Rd.), 2 R/O/W encroachment inquiries: (Dr. Martin Rd. and Dennis Ward Cir.) 1 encroachment issue on Sharp Dr., 1 encroachment request pending.
o   Solicited bids for asphalt sealcoat at Townville Fire Dept., Reviewed plans for roadway lighting on Ryobi Dr., Orange Way, and Innovation Way. Reviewed plans for a roundabout on Ryobi Dr. completed annual bridge asset inspections.
Solid Waste
       The Great Anderson County Cleanup will be on April 13, 2019. The Kickoff for the event will be on April 8, 2019 at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center at 6:00pm.
       Met with the Recycling/Solid Waste Committee on March 13, 2019 to discuss litter issues in Anderson County. Topics of discussion were advertising, number of Environmental Enforcement Officers (3), Keep Anderson County Beautiful, Education, Detention Center Litter Crews (2), ZERO Tolerance, Adopt-A-Highway (State) and Adopt-A-Spot (County).
       Met with Labella Engineering on the VIVA Recycling of the Upstate LLC., to work on coordinating a start date and equipment needed to begin the cost estimate to have the property cleaned up; and, the final drawings of the Whitefield Convenience Center expansion.
       Individuals stole 150 feet of black vinyl fence on the back side of the Slabtown Convenience Center. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating. The fence is valued at $4688.10.
       The closed out Pendleton Landfill had its annual inspection by DHEC this week. There will be a determination about the pine trees that are on the landfill which were planted as a vegetative cover when the landfill was closed out.
       Provided supplies to Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM), Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Friends of Broadway Lake for the community cleanups.
       Delivered 60 recycling bins to Southwood Academy of the Arts. These bins are purchased with the Solid Waste Grant from SCDHEC.
       Ordered oil dry for our MRF and convenience centers with the Waste Oil Grant from SCDHEC.
       Postcards for the Great Anderson County Cleanup are being distributed at convenience centers and upcoming events.
       Did You Know? The S.394 Bill preempts local governments from attempting to regulate the use, disposition, sale, or imposition of any prohibition, restriction, fee imposition, or taxation of auxiliary containers. The Senate LCI subcommittee heard testimony from SCAC and Paul Sommerville, Vice Chairman of Beaufort County Council, in opposition to the bill. This was put out by the SCAC this week.
Stormwater
       Reviews were conducted for Green Pond Phase II (3rd) and New Prospect Church Road Subdivision (2nd).
       Notice to comply lifted for Vantage Powdersville Apartments.
       Illicit Discharge issued for Mungo Homes in Avendell Subdivision for lacking BMPs and sediment entering storm system.
       Received resubmittal for Palmetto Boat Storage and Green Pond Phase II.

Animal Shelter
PAWS was able to save 94% of the animals in our care this week.
Intakes:  97 ( 28 owner surrenders, 2 return adoption, 53 from Animal Control, 10 strays and 4 transfer in)
Outcomes:  62 animals adopted, 2 died, 6 were euthanized for aggression or medical emergencies, 3 owner requested euthanasia, 13 returned to their owners, 19 transferred out to rescue groups
Clinic performed 135 spay/neuter surgeries
5 dogs were treated for heartworms
Currently 121 large dogs, 5 small dogs, 9 puppies, 27 cats and 3 kittens being held in the facility.
There are 91 animals available for adoption, 87 are spayed/neutered; 96%
14 animals are being held for court
PAWS received $621.00 in monetary donations.
