Williamston Town Councilman Rockey Burgess said this week that all right-of-way issues have been resolved in regards to the bridge replacement project on Minor Street in Williamston and that the project was bid on March 4. Public Works Director David Rogers said all bids must be in by April 4 and the project will be awarded by late April. Construction should begin by the first of May, he said. The construction of a new bridge will take several months, Rogers said. Anderson County is overseeing the project which is being funded with C fund money through the Anderson County Transportation Committee.
