Special parking for “Purple Heart” recipients

Anderson County will recognize Purple Heart recipients with the unveiling of designated parking for its Purple Heart recipients when visiting the County’s Veteran Affairs Office.
On March 21st at 11 a.m., Anderson County will unveil two special parking spaces for Purple Heart recipients. These parking spaces will be identified with African violet painted asphalt, the Purple Heart medal posted on a sign to mark the space as reserved for Purple Heart Recipient.
The County Veteran Affairs Office is located in the Townsend Building, 2404 North Main Street, Anderson.
“Veteran Affairs is honored to be a part of the celebration and recognition of our County’s Purple Heart recipients.” said  Matthew Muth, County Service Officer
“It’s a parking place, and a small token to show them that Anderson County is grateful for them.”
