The Town of West Pelzer will have their second GRAND Gallery exhibit on display beginning June 4. The exhibit will feature the art of five Fine Art Majors from Anderson University. The GRAND Gallery at Town Hall is located at 30 Main Street in West Pelzer. It celebrates those who have made contributions to Upstate culture and supports emerging young artists by sharing their work with the public.
In keeping with the GRAND Gallery’s mission of recognizing emerging talent in our region, gallery director, Andy Gambrell, visited the studios of fine art majors at Anderson University. After critiquing the work of many wonderful young artists, he curated a selection of paintings by five exceptional students. This exhibition features a selection of some of the most promising emerging art produced in Upstate South Carolina.
Anderson University’s art will be on view during Council meetings and through July 26th by appointment during regular business hours (Please visit www.westpelzer.com or contact the West Pelzer Municipal Center at 864.947.6297 for regular business hours).
The Town will recognize the students at 6:00pm at the regularly scheduled council meeting in The Grand Gallery. A reception will follow the council meeting.
