Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
July 17 – Officers were dispatched to the area of Gossett Drive and West 5th St., in reference to a hit and run. The vehicle in question was found abandoned on Mahaffey Street. Additional information on the incident not provided. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
July 19 – Keith Francis McDermott, 56, 313 E. Carolina St., Williamston was arrested for littering and public consumption after being observed in the area of Pelzer Avenue and Ace Hardware in Williamston. According to reports, McDermott was walking with an open 42 oz. bottle of Steel Reserve 211 beer. As officers approached, he threw the beer bottle into the bushes to his left. He was arrested and transported to ACDC without incident. K. Anthony, D. R. Hart investigated.
July 21 – Ricky Bobby Joe Patterson, 61, 221 Mauldin St., Williamston reported medicine taken from his medicine cabinet. Items reported missing were 23 Idaprex. R. Maxwell investigated.
July 23 – Jason Lee Vickery, 31, 139 Crown Court, Williamston reported a hit and run. No additional information provided. T. L. Eichelberger investigated.
