A Little Miss and Master Spring Water Festival Pageant will be held Saturday, Aug 24th in conjunction with the Spring Water Festival. The pageant is a fundraiser for The Mill Town Players and Spring Water Festival projects. The pageant is for girls ages are 0-18 and boys age 0-7. Entry fee is $35. No pageant dresses needed. Only a summer dress or summer outfit. Every participant will receive a crown, according to organizer Wendy King.
Organizers state no fake hair, tans or anything. Styled hair and makeup is acceptable. Door admission is $5 for everyone 5 and up except the contestant. The pageant will include a referral queen, peoples choice (money collected in bags during the pageant) sweetheart queens (money taken up over the amount of the entry fee and is totally optional). They will also be giving an award to a friendship queen who brings the most supporters with them to the pageant. “We give beautiful awards and every participant will receive a crown,” King said. “Invite all your friends and share this event with everyone.” The pageant will be held inside the Williamston Municipal Building across the street from the park where the Spring Water Festival is being held.
