Plans for an Aldi grocery store in Powdersville have been filed and are under preliminary review by Anderson County. The 20,000 square feet store will be located on 3.5 acres (four parcels) next to Walmart on an access road paralleling S.C. 153 at McNeely and Ragsdale roads. It would be the fourth grocery store in the area, including Ingles, Bi-Lo and Walmart.
Aldi US is headquartered in Illinois and the company is listed as both owner and developer of the new store.
