During their meeting Tuesday, the Anderson School District One Board approved open contracts for five new teachers. Superintendent Robbie Binnicker said the District was fortunate to be able to make the hires before there are openings. “When we find exceptional people to be able to hire them before there is an opening is great.”
The following were approved:
Recommendations – Austin Anderson, Special Education, Powdersville Elementary; Madison Marcie, Grade Four, Palmetto Elementary.
Recomendations for 2020-2021 – Kristy Capelle, Science, Anderson School Disrict One; Katie Clouse, Special Education, Anderson School District One; Casey Galloway, Special Education, Anderson School District One; Tyler Gardo, English, Anderson School District One;Emily Navin, Science, Anderson School District One;Ruth Saleeby, Special Education, Anderson School District One; Kayla Smith, Special Education, Anderson School District One.
Resignations – Charles Edmondson, Assistant Principal, Wren Middle.
Transfer – Sheila Butler, Grade Eight, Palmetto Middle to Math Intervention, Powdersville Middle.
Leave – Wendy Closz, Strings, Wren Middle; Laura Ellenburg, P.E., Wren High; Sommer Wilson, English, Palmetto High.
