The Anderson County Office of the Coroner is investigating the death of a man found on Riddle Road in Iva, with apparent gunshot wound. Coroner Greg Shore advised that his office was notified of the discovery of the victim around 6:30 am Tuesday morning and his investigators responded to the scene. The victim was located off the roadway at the intersection of Riddle Road and Hwy 413 by a deer hunter.
Brent Simpson, Deputy Coroner said that the victim has been identified as Kristofer Michael Shaw, 26 of Anderson.
The death has been ruled a Homicide and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday morning. The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Anderson County Office of the Coroner. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
