Individuals, churches, businesses and organizations in the area are invited to place a lighted display in Williamston’s Christmas Park this holiday season. There is no cost but an application must be filled out to reserve a space, coordinators said. Opening night ceremonies and lighting of Mineral Spring Park will be held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 30 at 6 p.m., at the Amphitheater Stage.
Displays should be made of sturdy materials with enough spotlights to make it visible at night. Participants are asked to have their displays finished and ready for the park opening on Saturday, Nov. 30. Applications are available by contacting Dianne Lollis at 847-5743. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, Nov. 26. Applications are available at Town Hall or on the Town of Williamston website.
