The Piedmont Historic Preservation Society will be having a special holiday event Sunday, November 17th, at 2:30 in the Don Roper Museum in the Piedmont Community Building. The PHPS is extending video interviews from the fall’s History Harvest to include Memories of Holidays Past. Come hear your friends share stories and bring your favorites too. They will also have calendars for sale with new vintage photos and current ones by photographer Paul Porter. Cost is $13.50 and they make great gifts said spokesperson Anne Peden. “Please purchase several for gifts,” she said. The calendar sale will fund the preservation, cataloging, and display of several new collections including Grover, Davenport, and Payne.
