TONY RANDALL BANNISTER (BANNY)

Tony Randall Bannister, 57, of Pelzer, husband of Sheila Page Bannister, passed away at his home on Nov. 17, 2019. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Madaline McCombs Bannister.

He is survived by three children, Bynjamin Bannister of Florida, Zachary Acevedo of Greenville, Hillary Lopez of Charleston; two stepchildren, Kristen Green and Bobby Richardson; six grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Smith of Williamston, Linda Burton of Pelzer.

He is predeceased by sister Tammie Thompson of North Carolina; one brother, Steve Bannister of Boiling Springs.

A memorial service will be held at Eastview Baptist Church, Eastview Road in Pelzer, SC on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2 PM.

JANICE WRIGHT

BELTON – Janice Ruth Hadden Wright, 66, wife of James Thomas “Tommy” Wright, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Annie Ruth Abercrombie Freeman of Anderson and of the late Robert Earl “Bob” Hadden. She was formerly employed with Milliken, Cushman Plant.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by daughters, Tammie Ruth Wright and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Hudson (Kelly), both of Belton; brothers, Larry Hadden (Ann) of Belton and Allen Hadden of Forest City, NC; and three grandchildren, Ezra Esuary, Blair and Tyce Garner.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Gray Mortuary. A memorial service followed at 3:30 in the mortuary chapel.

JOHN PAIGE

John Clarence Paige, 57, of Anderson, husband of Tracy Marlene Driver, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Bobby Clarence and Elsie Jeannette Childs Paige. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was formerly employed with Plastic Omnium, and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jon Brandon Paige and Travis Ryan Paige, both of Anderson; step-children, Robyn Nicole McCoy of Belton, George Douglas Roberts and Anna Roberts Delehoy, both of Cushing, OK; brother, Greg Paige of Williamston; sister, Bobbie Jo Blankenship of Piedmont; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Monday, November 18, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial followed at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

BRUCE FRANK WOODSON

Bruce Frank Woodson, 71, husband of Teresa Van Patten Woodson, of Greer, died Monday, November 11, 2019.

Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Frank and Alberta Bruce Woodson.

He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Heather Sijon of Greer; two grandchildren; and a sister, Cathy White of Williamston.

JR. WITT

James William “Jr.” Witt, Jr., 63, of Williamston, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019.

Born in Belton, he was the son of the late James William Witt, Sr. and Frances Jeanette McAbee Witt.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He retired from the textile industry and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Williamston.

He is survived by his sisters, Robin Moody of Williamston, Delores Culbertson of Cowpens, and Wyanette Rice of Chesnee.

Funeral service was held on Monday, November 18 in the Chapel of Gray Mortuary.  Burial followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

MSGT WILLIAM H. COX, USMC, RET.

William Homer “Bill” Cox, 84, of Piedmont, husband of Juanita I. Rogers Cox, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Homer Oliver and Mary Pearle Sweat Cox.

He was a U.S. Marine, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from Michelin and was a member of Wren Baptist Church.

   In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Bill Cox of Salem; daughters, Debora Walker  of Honea Path and Teri Cox of Piedmont; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, November 19in the chapel of Gray Mortuary.

Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, with full military honors.
