Anderson Regional Airport Mechanic Receives Scholarship

The Anderson Regional Airport is proud to announce that aircraft maintenance shop employee Joanna Meza, FAA licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, has won a competitive scholarship from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engines for specialized training in turbine (jet) aircraft engines.
The specialized training offered by Pratt & Whitney will expand the capabilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Department to service the ever-growing segment of corporate aircraft utilizing the airport.
Ms. Meza began her career at Anderson Regional Airport two years ago while taking aircraft maintenance certification coursework at Greenville Technical College.  She is currently working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics offered through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
