UPDATE – Belton shooting takes life of pregnant woman and child

By Stan Welch
A shooting that took place last Thursday, Feb. 13, at 110 Bryon Circle resulted in the eventual deaths of three people. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to that address, where they found Rashad Tamell Nash, a thirty two year old black male  dead on the ground of a gunshot wound or wounds.
Also shot, though still alive, was Sabrina Louise Lowery, a twenty one year old white female who was thirty seven weeks pregnant. She died later during surgery, as did her child, bringing the toll to three.
An incident report released by the ACSO is very sparse in terms of information, using the standard disclaimer that the investigation is ongoing. The incident report referred to is heavily redacted beyond the names of the victims. The Journal, however, has obtained additional, formal information that two other names appear on that incident report.
One name is Nathaniel Alex Lowery, a twenty three year old white male. Any familial relationship with the victim of the same name, if there is one, is not acknowledged in any law enforcement documentation that has been released at this time.
The name of Amanda Rachel Rutland, a forty year old white female, also appears. The role or status of the two, whether  as  subjects, or witnesses, remains unknown at this time. A search of the inmate roster at the Anderson County Detention Center reflects the incarceration or booking of neither person.
As noted earlier, the investigation is designated as active and ongoing.
