Three sign up to run for mayor in Pelzer Special Election

    Three people have signed up to run for mayor in the Special Election to be held Tuesday, March 31 in Pelzer. Voters will decide on a new mayor and one councilmember.
    As of the closing of books Tuesday, the following had signed up: Mayor – Will Ragland, Harold Tennihill and Margaret Jamison.
    For the one seat on Council – Gary “Garbo” Pridmore, Donna Ide and David Hatley.
    People desiring to vote in the upcoming election must be registered by March 1, 2020.  To register, contact the County Board of Voter Registration.
    The special election being held is to fill vacancies following announcement of the resignations of Councilwoman Olene Bear and Mayor Roger Scott.
