Whitefield firefighters along with other emergency personnel work at the scene of a fatal wreck Sunday morning. The wreck happened on Dorchester Road. The driver lost control of the car and it ran off the roadway and overturned several times. The driver, Kevious Delph, 26, of Anderson, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Anderson County Coroner.
Delph appeared to have lost control of his car, run off the road, hit a tree and flipped several times around 1:40 a.m., the Coroner said.
According to the Coroner, Delph was not wearing a seat belt. He als said speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors to the crash.
The Coroner and Highway Patrol are investigating.
