Cecil Bryant, Kevin Bryant, Elizabeth “Lib” Patterson  RYAN, Joe Hooper

Cecil Bryant

Williamston – William Cecil Bryant, 79, husband of Julia Marlene Clardy Bryant, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Kirksey and Bessie Heaton Bryant. He retired from Celanese Corporation and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Barry Bryant (Jennifer) of West Pelzer; sister, Martha Faye Owen of Williamston; and grandchildren, Andrew (Kristen), Alex, and Anna Grace Bryant.

He was predeceased by a son, Allan Bryant; three brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 25, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, with the service to follow at 3:00 in the mortuary chapel.  Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Kevin Bryant

Pelzer – Kevin Patrick Bryant, 42, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019.

Born in South Boston, Virginia, he was a son of Rev.  William Douglas “Bill” Bryant, Sr. and Linda Spence Bryant, of Pelzer. He was formerly employed with Carolina Designs and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a wife, Angela Bryant of Pelzer; step-children, Tabatha, Cameron, and Harley Strickland; brother, Doug Bryant, Jr.; nephews, Adam and Austin Bryant; and step-grandchild, Madeline Nicole Strickland.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, at New Hope Baptist Church (in the old sanctuary).

Elizabeth “Lib” Patterson  RYAN

DALLAS, NC – Elizabeth “Lib” Patterson Ryan, native of Williamston, was born September 19, 1934 and died March 24, 2020. 

She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Blanche Patterson of Williamston. She is survided by a brother, Bill Patterson of West Pelzer and sister Linda (Jackie) Patterson Copeland of Seneca. 

Deceased Edna Patterson (Pat) of Florida and Lessie Patterson of the home.

Elizabeth is survived by her spouse Bill Ryan of Dallas, N.C. son, Ricky Ryan, daughter, Jan Ryan. She was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Ryan.

Joe Hooper

 Joe Hooper, 76, of Easley, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020.Born in Piedmont, SC, he was a son of the late William and Dovie Capps Hooper. He was a charter member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church. He was a sales representative for Wise Safety and Environmental. He was also employed by Greenville Country Club Golf Center. 

He is survived by his wife, Sue Elrod Hooper; a son, Jeff Hooper; a grandchild; a brother, Donnie Hooper. 

The funeral service was at Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Burial followed in Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund, 9813 Anderson Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673.
