SC receives second shipment from National Stockpile

 To help provide supplies for healthcare providers responding to COVID-19, South Carolina recently received a second shipment of medical equipment from the Strategic National Stockpile. DHEC inventoried the materials, and the S.C. National Guard has distributed the face shields, surgical masks, gowns and gloves to every county in the state.
U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers with the 59th Troop Command, South Carolina National Guard, and U.S. Air National Guard Airmen with the 169th Logistics Readiness Squadron, South Carolina National Guard help with the shipment.

Anderson County received 1760 N95 Respirators, 4000 Face Masks/Surgical Masks, 96 Face Shields, 642 Surgical Gowns, 2 Coveralls, and 2500 Gloves.
Greenville County received 4150 N95 Respirators, 10,000 Face Masks/Surgical Masks, 1920 Face Shields, 1578 Surgical Gowns, 2 Coveralls, 5000 Gloves.
The distribution of materials was data driven to ensure needs are fairly met based on county populations based on the 2010 Census and emergent needs.
