Anderson School District One Graduation Ceremonies June 5

All three Anderson School District One High Schools will hold graduation services this Friday, June 5 beginning at 10 a.m. at their respective football stadiums.
District One is following guidelines from the South Carolina State Department of Education, in consultation with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), which limit all graduations to two guests per graduate.
In order for all family and friends of 2020 graduates to be a part of the ceremony, each event will be streamed live on FaceBook.
Each high school will also hold a Senior Parade immediately following the ceremony so that additional family members and friends can join the celebration and honor the graduates.
Palmetto High School Graduation Services will be held at 10 a.m. June 5 at C. Dale Martin Field and will be followed by a parade through three area towns.
Vehicles with graduates in them should park in the main student parking lot.  If a graduate is riding with their parents, they will park in the main student parking lot also.
At the Palmetto High Graduation, Principal Robert Roach will begin with an introduction.
Honor Grad Daniela Nicloe Aranda will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Rosalie Anne Summerlin and Easton Michael Gowan will sing the National Anthem. Honor Grad Drew Christopher Huff will welcome guests.
Salutatorian Katelee Blaine Callaham will give her Student Address which will be followed by special music from Summerlin and Gowan.
Valedictorian Savannah Denise Shealy will give her student address.
Principal Roach will recognize special guests. Anderson School District One Superintendent Robbie Binnicker will present diplomas. Assisting will be Principal Roach, Assistant Principal William Jones and Assistant Principal April Hays. Principal Roach will confirm graduates.
Honor Grad Addilyn Hope Johnson will give the student response. Honor Grad Morgan Blair Roberts will have closing remarks.
The Parade route will be:  Leaving the Palmetto High parking lot, Palmetto Road to Stewart Street (will pass West Pelzer Elementary) turn right on Highway 8 (Main Street); go through West Pelzer and Pelzer, turn right on Courtney Street, left on Highway 20; continue through Williamston to the intersection at Hardee’s.
Appropriate social distancing should be observed along the parade route.
Rain date is June 6 at 10 a.m.
Wren High School Commencement will also be held June 5 at 10 a.m. at the Wren High School Stadium.
Honor Grad Kate Morley Beckish will give her opening reflection. Honor Grad Colin Russell Kosek will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Honor Grad Emerson Riley Steele will sing the National Anthem. Student Body President Madison Haley Brooks will welcome guests. Special music will be presented by soloists Thomas Preston Jacques and Sarah-Emilee Griffin Dunn.
Wren principal Dr. Seth Young will recognize special guests.
Honor Grad Liam Hassan Khaleeghi will offer a teacher tribute.
Dr. Young will recognize honors.
Salutatorian Douglas Aaron Martin will give his graduation address entitled “Friday Night Lights”.
Valedictorian Karl Alan Undheim will give his graduation address entitled “The Strength of the Class of 2020: A Force Unmatched”.
Honor Grad Emily Violet Sandstrom will have Letter to the Audience.
Dr. Young will present diplomas with help from Kyle Whitefield and Christopher Chapman.
Honor Grad Katelynn Carter Lee will lead the Alma Mater. Honor Grad Hagan Abbygale Wilson will offer final thoughts.
Wren’s graduation parade will directly follow the graduation ceremony and will be along roads connecting Wren Middle School, Wren High School, and Wren Elementary School. Additional details were unavailable at press time.
Powdersville High Commencement will begin at 10 a.m. at the Powdersville High football stadium.
Honor Grad Valancy Lane Harrison will offer a Moment of Reflection. Honor Grad Cameron Scott Morrison will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Honor Grad Mason Wade Wright and Honor Grad Zoe Ray Turner will sing the National Anthem.
Student Body Co-Presidents Taylor Nicole Burger and Walker Alexander Merritt will welcome guests.
Mark Hayes and Concert Choir members will present special music.
Powdersville High Principal Dr. Chris Ferguson will present awards and recognize honors.
Valedictorian and Honor Grad Nathaniel Ryan Coxson will give his graduation address entitled “Unpredictable”.
Salutatorian and Honor Grad Reagan Rease Hiller will give her graduation address entitled “The Good”.
Honor Grad James Cong Tran will present a Letter to the Audience.
Dr. Ferguson will award diplomas with assistance by Lauree Cole and Phillip Bramblett.
Honor Grad Avery Lynn Stoneman will lead the Alma Mater. Senior Class President Anna Leigh Bostic will have closing remarks.
