Anderson County reporting only two new cases of COVID

On Wednesday (Sept. 9) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 250 new confirmed cases and 7 new probable cases of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. DHEC also reported 29 additional confirmed deaths and one new probable death.
Anderson County reported two new cases and one COVID related death.
Greenville County reported 26 new cases and five COVID related deaths.

This brings the total number of confirmed deaths to 2,800, and 142 probable deaths.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC yesterday statewide was 1,744 (not including antibody tests) and the percent positive was 14.3%.
There were 801 COVID related patients in hospital beds. Of those 224 are in ICU and 133 are ventilated.
