On Tuesday (Sept. 29) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 527 new confirmed cases and 37 new probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 22 additional confirmed deaths and 1 new probable deaths related to COVID.
Anderson County reported 26 new cases, one probable case and one death related to COVID.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 143,495 since the first case Mar 6, probable cases to 4,139, confirmed deaths to 3,173, and 186 probable deaths.

There were 690 COVID patients hospitalized. Of those, 176 were in ICU and 88 ventilated.

The total number of individual test results reported to DHEC Monday statewide was 4,007 and the percent positive was 13.2%.
