Whitefield firefighters cut the driver of a car out after a near head on collision on Highway 29 Monday evening near Dorchester Road. The driver was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital by LifeFlight helicopter. The other driver was transported to an area hospital by Medshore Ambulance Service. Highway 29 was closed for more than an hour until the investigation was complete by troopers. (Photo by David Rogers)
