Pelzer Special Election Nov. 10

Three candidates have signed up to run for an open Pelzer town council seat that will be decided in a special election in that will be held on November 10. The seat was left vacant by the election of Will Ragland as mayor. Running are Margaret Jamison, Alisha Tuttle and Donna Ide.
A meet the candidates forum will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Pelzer Community Building.

People desiring to vote in the election must be registered by October 10, 2020. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The precinct and polling location will be at Life Journey Church, 2 Wesleyan Dr. Pelzer.

Voters will be asked to show one of the following Photo ID’s:
*S.C. Driver’s License,*ID card issued by S.C. Dept. of Motor Vehicles, *S.C. Voter Registration card with photo, *Federal Military ID or *U.S. Passport.

In the event of a tie, any run-off will be held two weeks after the election on Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

Pelzer voters will also go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 3 for the general election to decide who will serve as President and other state and local offices.
