SCDHEC Update – Greenville County still leading state in number of new cases

On Monday (Nov. 23) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported the following COVID-19 updates:

There were 1,095 new confirmed cases of COVID and 16 probable cases.

In Anderson County there were 53 new cases reported and no deaths related to COVID.
In Greenville County there were 187 new cses and no deaths related to COVID.
Richland County is second with 103 new cases.

There were 5 new confirmed deaths reported statewide related to COVID.

Total confirmed deaths statewide wide since the pandemic reached SC are 3,987 and 301 probable deaths.

Total confirmed 194,902 and 12,650 probable cases since the first case reported March 6.

There were 10,217 individual test results reported statewide yesterday (not including antibody tests) with 10.7% testing positive.
There were 844 COVID patients in hospitals across the state with 216 in ICU and 92 on ventilators.
