Last Tuesday (Nov. 24) deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office received a call at around 3:20pm regarding a plane crash near Cytec Carbon Fibers, located at 7139 Augusta Road (The Donaldson Center). Preliminary reports indicate a small engine plane, occupied by two people, struck a smoke tower and came to a rest behind a building. Both of the occupants inside of the plane were transported for to the hospital for treatment. The incident is being investigated by the FAA and the NTSB.
