SCDHEC – Greenville County continues to see increase in COVID-19 cases

As COVID-19 cases across the state continue to rise, Greenville County leads the state in the number of new confirmed cases of COVID 19 for the last week.

On Tuesday (Dec. 1) the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 1,297 new confirmed cases and 23 new probable cases of COVID.
DHEC reported 13 new deaths and 10 probable deaths related to COVID.
Anderson County reported 79 new cases, 1 probable case and 3 deaths related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 237 new cases, three probable cases and 5 deaths related to COVID.

In SC, there have been a total of 205,004 cases and 13,908 probable cases since the first case was reported March 6.
The total number of confirmed deaths related to COVID is 4,091 and probable deaths is 313.
Tests performed for South Carolinians: 2,727,268
There were 7,375 individual test results reported statewide with 17.6% percent positive.
Across the state there were 980 COVID patients in hospitals with 201 in ICU and 84 ventilated.
