On Saturday (Dec. 19) The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 2,919 new cases and 79 probable cases of the novel coronavirus.
DHEC reported 16 deaths and 7 probable deaths related to COVID.
Anderson County reported 166 new cases and 1 probable case and 2 deaths.
Greenville County reported 546 new cases, 1 probable cases and 4 deaths.
This brings the total number of deaths related to COVID to 4,529 and 366 probable.
There were 12,767 new individual test results reported statewide (not including antibody tests)
with 22.9% positive.
There were 1461 COVID patients in hospitals with 311 in ICU and 148 ventilated.
