G. Lee Cole, Jr. announces for Williamston Town Council

G. Lee Cole, Jr. has announced his intention to run as for the open Ward
Two seat on the Williamston Town Council.
“I love my hometown of Williamston. I love the people here: my family, friends, and neighbors, our sense of community, and our rich history. There is something special about this small town. I am running for Town Council to help our community grow while still maintaining its special charm and appeal.” Cole said when asked why he is running.

His campaign will focus on fostering well-planned economic and residential
development, ensuring that the Town government continues to provide quality services to its citizens, and the restoration of the Mineral Spring Park.
Lee is Senior Partner at Cox & Cole, Attorneys at Law, a general practice law firm in Williamston, and has served as Town Attorney since 2014. He is a graduate of Palmetto High School, the University of South Carolina, the University of South Carolina School of Law, and the Clamp Divinity School at Anderson University.

He formerly served as a Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church and Pelzer United Methodist Church. Lee has also had leadership roles in many community organizations including Envision Williamston, Mill Town Players Board of Directors, First Citizens Bank Advisory Board, Palmetto Business Association, Palmetto Soccer Club, and Tri-County Technical College Board of Visitors.
The Special Election for the open Ward Two seat will be held on March 30, 2021.
