Sandra Roberson Bradshaw, Shirley T. Smith, Brandon Strickland, Donna Robinson, Connie Mitchell, William P. Griggs, Travis Parker Saxon, Jeanette McGaha, Shirley Ann (Morgan) Stewart

Shirley Ann (Morgan) Stewart 

Shirley Ann (Morgan) Stewart, 84, of Pelzer, widow of Joe Stewart, died Sunday, February 21, 2021. 

Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Smith Morgan. 

She was a member of Agape Baptist Church. 

She is survived by two sons Ronnie Stewart and Tommy Stewart; five grand and 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Padgett. 

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 1:30 P.M. in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West. Masks are required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

Jeanette McGaha

Helen Jeanette McGaha of Honea Path, 68, wife of Charles Ronald “Ronnie” McGaha, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the William Melvin and Annie Bevenia Pitts Paron. She was a housewife.

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Tim Lee of Rock Hill; brother, Walter M. Parson, Easley; sisters, Gwen Gerisch of Easley and Nancy P. Smith of Piedmont; and two grandchildren, 

Visitation will be T.ursday, February 25 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

   Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.

Travis Parker Saxon 

Williamston – Travis Parker Saxon, 22, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Randy Calvin Saxon of Pelzer and Teresa Lynn Norton Garrison of the home. He was formerly employed with Carolina Auto Auction, Inc. and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by brother, Justin Saxon (Haleigh) of Williamston; step-brother, Matthew Garrison (Natalie) in the U.S. Navy; step-father, Todd Garrison of the home; grandparents, Kenneth and Cynthia Norton of Pelzer, Judy and Mike Wilkie of Greer, Jane Garrison of Williamston, and Calvin R. Saxon of Abbeville; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel.

Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.

William P. Griggs

William P. Griggs Sr., passed away on February 6, 2021. He is survived by his wife Beth Griggs of Mauldin, children: William Griggs Jr of Mauldin, Shane Griggs of Stuart, FL, Chris Griggs of Mauldin and six grandchildren. 

He retired from W.R. Grace-Croyovac of Simpsonville. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Mauldin Church of God on Butler Rd., Mauldin, on February 27, at 11:00 AM family and friends are welcome to attend.

Connie Mitchell

Connie Jane Hansen Mitchell of Pelzer, 66, wife of John Leo Mitchell, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.

Born in Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Leland and Bonnie Bee Reed Hansen.  She worked at Estes Plant, Piedmont.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Shelly Center and Leigh Ann Mitchell; sisters, Pam Phinney, Bonnie Wellmeir, Nancy Burns, Kathleen Martinez, Maureen Hugunin; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Donna Robinson

Williamston – Donna Lorraine Robinson, 59, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021.

   Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Charles Robert Robinson, Sr. and Ella Lorraine Guest Robinson. She was formerly employed with Williamston First Baptist Church Childcare Center and was also a member of Williamston First Baptist Church.

   Survivors include sister, Debra Robinson of Myrtle Beach; and brother, Charles R. Robinson, Jr. (Shelley) of Honea Path.

Donna will be available for viewing on Friday, February 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Williamston First Baptist Church, with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Garden of Memories, Belton.

Brandon Strickland

Brandon Lee Strickland of West Pelzer, 29, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Roger Dale and Shannon Dianne Reid Strickland.  He was formerly employed with FEMA.

In addition to his parents of the home, he is survived by children, J.D., Gage, Kayden, Kayson, Kealan, Natalya, and Elizabeth Strickland; sister, Kimberly Strickland Hill of Anderson; brothers, Tyler and Jacob Strickland.

A memorial service was held February 21 at Gray Mortuary Chapel visitation followed the service.

Shirley T. Smith

Shirley Ann Thomason Smith of Taylors, 85, widow of John Herbert Smith, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 at her home.

   Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Lillian Davis Thomason. She attended Trinity Baptist Church, Williamston and Freedom Baptist Ministries, Anderson.

Survivors include daughter, Diann Brock of Taylors; son, John Herbert Smith, Jr. of Greer; six grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held February 24 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. A graveside service followed at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

Sandra Roberson Bradshaw 

Sandra Roberson Bradshaw, 76, of the Tobacco Branch Community and formerly of Pelzer SC, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday February 16, 2021. A native of Pelzer SC and longtime resident of Graham County, NC she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Roberson. 

She is survived by her husband of 40 years Owen Bradshaw of the home; three children, Pam Harrison (Johnny) of Williamston, SC, Donna Boroughs of Pelzer, SC, and Jeremy Bradshaw (Caitlyn) of Almond, NC; three grandchildren, Sean, Haley (Cody), Whitney, and Aidan; two great grandchildren, Harper, Finley, Kameron, and Harrison; one brother, Steve Roberson (Merry); her mother-in-law, Blanche Bradshaw; one brother-in-law, Dwight Bradshaw (Cindy); one sister-in-law, Sharon Crisp (Doug), and many close friends. 

Funeral Services were held 10:00 AM Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randy Collins will officiated. The funeral service was live streamed on the funeral home website at www.crispfuneralhome.org under the obituary for Sandra. 

The family received friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home. 

A graveside service was held Saturday at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Pelzer, SC. Rev. Daniel Fortney officiated.
