In celebration observing Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and his achievements for the betterment of all people, there will be an online virtual celebration via Zoom, on Saturday, February 27, beginning at 10 am. A link to the live Zoom presentation will be shared on the towns website and social media.
The Williamston MLK Committee also sponsored an art event involving Anderson School District One art students. The resulting art work is on exhibit at Williamston Municipal Center at 12 W. Main Street.
The art exhibit will run through March 19 and can be seen daily 9 am to 5 pm.
“Please stop by and view the beautiful work of the students and mark your calendars to join in on the virtual event on Feb 27th,” a town spokesperson said.
