On Sunday (Mar. 19) SCDHEC reported 654 new cases and 405 probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC reported 35 new confirmed deaths and 8 probable deaths related to COVID. There were 20,445 molecular tests results reported with 4.3 percent positive. There were 542 COVID patients in hospitals with 133 in ICU and 66 on ventilators.
Anderson County reported 23 new cases, 4 probable cases and 1 death related to COVID. Anderson County has 4 COVID beds occupied, 1 COVID patient in ICU and none on a ventilator.
Greenville County reported 110 new cases, 36 probable cases and 5 deaths related to COVID. Greenville County has 3 COVID beds occupied 1 COVID patient in ICU and 0 vented.
SCDHEC Update Monday, Mar. 22, 2021
On Monday (Mar. 22) SCDHEC reported 343 new cases and 270 probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 16 deaths and 4 probable deaths related to COVID. There were 18,407 molecular test results reported with a positivity rate of 4 percent. Anderson County reported 18 new cases, 7 probable cases and 1 death related to COVID.
Greenville County reported 48 new cases, 47 probable cases and 3 deaths related to COVID.
Though all case numbers across the state have dropped damatically in recent weeks, Greenville County continues to lead the state in new cases. Horry County is second in the state with 22 new cases.
