Anderson County Council District 2 to see runoff

The outcome of the race for the District Two County Council seat vacated by the recent death of Gracie Floyd, who held the seat for two decades, remains undetermined.
Glenn Davis, while garnering 208 of the 550 votes cast, nevertheless failed to secure the fifty per cent plus one vote needed to avoid a runoff. In a crowded field of seven candidates, no one reached that threshold. A runoff will be held (DTBA) between Davis and Marian A. Robinson who got 118 votes.
Wille Day got 76; Debbie Dotson-Leverette got 74; Micah Jenkins 44; Arsenio Mandrake Walker 20, and Reggie Davis 10. Voter turnout was less than five per cent.
