SCDHEC Update – Apr. 26, 2021

On Sunday (Apr. 25) SCDHEC reported 424 new cases and 304 probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 16 deaths and 1 probable death related to COVID.
There were 15,833 molecular test results reported with 3.9 percent positive.
Anderson County reported 12 new cases, 8 probable cases and 1 death related to COVID.
Greenville County continues to lead the state with 57 new cases and 29 probable cases. There were deaths related to COVID reported for Greenville County.

Charleston County has the second highest number of new cases with 53. Calhoun, Fairfield, Lee and McCormick counties all reported no new cases.

There were 506 COVID patients on hospitals across the state with 131 in ICU and 62 on ventilators.

On Fri. (Apr. 23) – DHEC reported 607 new cases 353 probable cases, 12 deaths and 4 probable deaths.
There were 18,516 molecular test results reported with 4.6 percent positive.
Anderson County reported 17 new cases and 13 probable cases.
Greenville County reported 79 new cases, 41 probable cases and 1 death related to COVID.

On Thursday (Apr. 22) DHEC reported 408 new cases and 427 probable cases of COVID-19. DHEC also reported 19 new confirmed deaths and 4 probable deaths related to COVID. There were 10,992 molecular test results reported with 4.7 percent positive. Anderson County reported 21 new cases and 7 probable cases and 2 deaths.
Greenville County reported 63 new cases, 43 probable cases and 6 deaths related to COVID.
