At approximately 1:40 pm Monday (May 24) Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address on Circle Road in Easley in regards to a welfare check. During the incident, an adult male barricade himself and then charged deputies while armed with a weapon. At least one Deputy discharged their firearm striking the suspect. The condition of the suspect is unknown at this time.
As standard procedure in an officer involved shooting, the State Law Enforcement Division (LED) has been asked to investigate the incident.
