On June 24th a Deputy Sheriff with the ACSO was traveling using lights and sirens on Old River Road near West Pelzer, responding to another Deputy that requested assistance. The Deputy’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed. The Deputy has been transported to the hospital by Pelzer EMS for minor injuries.
West Pelzer and Wren firefighters responded. As standard protocol, the South Carolina Highway Patrol has responded to investigate the incident.
