The Town of West Pelzer will recognize B. Taylor Harrison on September 7, at 6:00pm at the regularly scheduled town council meeting in “The Grand Gallery”. A reception will follow the council meeting. New Gallery art by Harrison will be on view from September 7 through October 19 by appointment during regular business hours

The Town of West Pelzer’s GRAND Gallery, located at 30 Main Street in West Pelzer, SC, celebrates those who have made contributions to Upstate culture and supports emerging young artists by sharing their work with the public. The gallery takes advantage of West Pelzer’s position between Greenville and Anderson and seeks to celebrate artists from both communities while encouraging cross-pollination.
B. Taylor Harrison is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Arts from Anderson University. Concentrating in Painting and Drawing, with a Minor in Art History, Taylor utilizes acrylic paint, oil paint, and textures to “create knots of energy and engagement as well as quiet moments of rest within the paintings.” B. Taylor Harrison has exhibited at the Spartanburg County Public Libraries in 2018, 2020, and 2021. In addition, Harrison’s paintings were on display at the Inaugural 100 Miles (2019) at The Bascom Center for the Visual Arts in Highlands, North Carolina.
