Piedmont firefighters work at the scene of a wreck on Hwy 86 in Piedmont Sunday evening. A Jeep ran off the road and struck a utility pole, a fire hydrant, and a parked vehicle knocking it into another parked vehicle that struck yet another parked vehicle. Also, a woman was beside her disabled car in a parking lot just feet from the pole. She ran when the pole was stuck and fell. She nor the Jeep driver were transported.
