The Palmetto Business Association is encouraging shoppers to Shop Local this weekend for Black Friday and Shop Local Saturday. A complete list of PBA members is included in a Shop Local ad in this week’s Journal.
The PBA is also sponsoring FREE horse drawn carriage rides as part of the “Winter Wonderland” event being held this Sunday (Nov. 28) in Williamston.
The carriage rides will feature two horse drawn carriages decorated for the holidays, offering free rides along West Main Street and through the lighted Christmas Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Williamston’s new Winter Wonderland event will include a holiday market fair from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Christmas tree lighting, Lighting of the Christmas Park and opening of Deck the Halls and other activities beginning at 6 p.m.
The group plans to be represented in the upcoming Williamston Christmas Parade and will have a display in the Christmas Park in Williamston.
They are currently working on a strategic plan expected to be present at the January meeting and are considering allowing area churches and local schools to be honorary members.
