Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of Jorrell Wright that occurred on March 9 at 544 Emily Ln. in Piedmont.
On Friday, March 11th Officers with the Atlanta Police Department arrested 21-year-old Jason Daiyon Taylor in their jurisdiction following ongoing communication with the GCSO concerning his potential whereabouts.
During the course of investigation, investigators learned that Taylor shot and killed the victim over a dispute at an acquaintance’s residence, however the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Wright is currently incarcerated at the Fulton County Jail on unrelated charges and a hold has been placed from the GCSO for the charge of Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. Taylor’s extradition date is unknown as of press time.
