South Greenville firefighters work at the scene of a fatal wreck Sunday afternoon. Two cars collided head on north of Bessie Road at approximately 11:28 a.m. One person was killed and another transported to the hospital. Augusta Road was closed until the investigation was complete. According to the SC Highway Patrol, the victim was traveling north on Augusta Road when the vehicle crossed the center of the road and hit another driver head-on. The Greenville County Coroner’s office identified the victim as 17-year-old Seth Allen Smith. He died at the scene. The other driver was transported to the hospital.
