GCSO – Two arrested in Owens Road death

Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit have made two arrests in connection with the May 1 murder of William “Jordan” Fletcher in South Greenville County.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office F.A.S.I.T. (Fugitive Apprehension Specialized Investigations Team) arrested 30-year-old Jarred Emille Clement and 20-year-old Shakim Jovon Johnson at an apartment complex located at 3434 Laurens Road, in Greenville.

During the course of the investigation, investigators learned that the pair had been with the victim before his body was found in the roadway on Owens Road, near Old Pelzer Road.

Investigators believe Clement and Johnson conspired to kill the victim and that the shooting was premeditated. The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation, however, investigators can confirm both suspects knew the victim.

Clement has been charged with Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Johnson has been charged with Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

Following their arrests, the suspects were transported to the Greenville County Detention Center where they have both received no bond on their respective charges.
