Williamston Police Officers investigated the following incidents:
June 3 – Cpl. D. R. Hart responded to 104 Graham Ct., Williamston where Jessica Reece Crook, 30, reported an order of protection violation by her ex-husband Tyler Crook. The victim did not want to pursue charges.
June 2 – Town of Williamston reported a lock cut on a water meter at 108 C “L” St. The meter was locked March 28 for non-payment on the water bill. The property is a rental. Damage was estimated at $716.70. G. S. Hawkins investigated.
May 29 – Richard Allen Davenport, 40, 13 River Dr,. Ext. was arrested for driving under suspension 3rd after a brown Chevrolet Tahoe was observerd on Greenville Drive with no tag. The driver stated he had just purchased the vehicle and had not had time to get a tag. He presented a title and bill of sale. His license was suspended for failure to pay a reinstatement fee. He was issued a warning for no tag and transported to ACDC. D. Vickery was reporting officer.
May 27 – Talena Michelle Holder, 41, 12 Yale St., Greenville was issued a warning citation for a suspended tag after a vehicle was observed on Greenville Drive with a brake light out. Due to the driver not being the owner of the vehicle, the driver was issued a warning, the tag was seized and the vehicle was towed. D. Vickery was reporting officer.
May 26 – Cherie Roberson, 56, 19 Edgewood Dr., Williamston reported a Heritage 22 cal Ruff Rider revolver taken from a dresser. There was no forced entry observed and only the one item was taken. The firearm, described as a long barrel revolver with a stressed flag on the hand grip, was valued at $200. Lt. L. B. Culbertson, Jr., investigated.
May 26 – Cory Ryan Manning, 27, 409 Woodfield Dr,. Piedmont was arrested for driving under suspension and operating an uninsured vehicle after a black 2005 Nissan SU Murano was observed traveling 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on South Hamilton. The driver was also driving erractic, crossing the center line and attempted to evade the officer. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Greenville Dr. The tag on the vehicle came back to a 2003 Toyota Celica GT and the driver, Manning had an outstanding warrant with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office and his drivers license was suspended for failure to pay traffic tickets. He was transported to ACDC. T. Grate was reporting officer.
May 24 – Phillip Hollis II Sherman, 39, 141 Breazeale Dr., Williamston was issued citations for driving under suspension, operating an uninsured vehicle and following too close after a black motorcycle was observed laying in the roadway at Main St. and Center St. The driver, identified as Sherman, was standing at the side of the road. Sherman stated he hit the back of a black SUV. Sgt. L. E. Mulz investigated.
