Whitfield named Wren High Principal

Anderson School District recently announced that Kyle Whitfield will take over the principal role at Wren High School beginning July1.
Whitefield has served as an assistant principal at Wren High School for the past five years.

An alum of Lee University in Tennessee, Whitfield received a Masters of Arts in Education from Southern Wesleyan in 2017. He will receive his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Clemson University in August 2022.
Prior to coming to Wren, Whitfield served as an Assistant Principal at Pickens Middle. He has a total of fourteen years experience in education.

Whitfield said the following about assuming the principalship, “I am excited and truly honored to be named principal of Wren High School. I have had the privilege to serve as assistant principal at Wren and I have been blessed to work at such a special place. I look forward to continuing to serve the students, faculty, and community as we strive to continue the strong tradition of excellence at Wren. The best is yet to come.”

Superintendent Robbie Binnicker added, “We are excited for Mr. Whitfield to step into this new role. During his time at Wren, Kyle has demonstrated a dedication to helping students and teachers reach their full potential. He has the knowledge, experience, and passion to continue Wren High School’s tradition of excellence.”

Whitfield grew up in Anderson, SC, where he graduated from Westside High School. He is married to wife Autumn, and has two boys, Hayden and Bryson.
