GPATS seeking input for Long-Range Transportation Plan today in Williamston

Officials with the Greenville-Pickens Area Transportation Study (GPATS) Long-Range Transportation Plan will be in Williamston Tuesday, July 19 from 4-7 p.m. to accept input from the public on future transportation needs of the area.

The Williamston, Pelzer, West Pelzer, Piedmont and Powdersville area is included in the GPATS study area.

Format will be drop-in. Attendance at the meetings is not limited to individuals residing in the municipalities hosting them. Anyone living or working within the GPATS region is welcome to attend any location.

Area citizens are invited to come and give input on the transportation needs of your area. Comments, concerns and recommendations are encouraged. Input and thoughts are valuable to GPATS and will be used to help develop priorities and goals for the future of transportation in the region. The success of Horizon2045 is dependent on the public involvement.

There are seven sub-regional meetings are scheduled in the Upstate. Meetings will be held at the following locations –
July 7 – Greer – 4-7 pm at Greer City Hall, Hall B, 301 E Poinsett St,. Greer.
July 8 – Simpsonville – 4-7 pm Simpsonville Activity Center, 301 W Curtis St., Simpsonville.
July 11 – Greenville – 4-7 pm Greenville County Square, Suite 400, 301 University Ridge, Greenville.
July 14 – Travelers Rest – 4-7 pm Travelers Rest City Hall, 125 Trailblazer Dr., Travelers Rest.
July 19 – Williamston, 4-7 pm Municipal Center Auditorium, 12 W Main St., Williamston.
July 21 – Clemson – 4-7 pm Littlejohn Community Center, 644 Old Greenville Hwy., Clemson.
July 25 – Easley – 4-7 pm City Hall, Old Council Chambers, 205 N 1st St., Easley.
