Anderson School District One School Board Briefs (July 26)

During the July 26 Anderson School District One Board meeting, District One Finance Director Travis Thomas updated the Board on the Local Option Sales Tax revenue for the month of May. Anderson School District One receives 31.596% of Local Option Sales Tax. Of that amount, 20% goes toward Property Tax Relief and the remaining 80% goes to Capital use for Anderson District One.
Thomas reported revenue received for Capital use totaled $796,977. Expenses incurred were $187,483, leaving the ending fund balance at $5,407,198.
The Building Program Fund Balance is $11,642,850.
The Board approved Final Reading on Policy KF-E – Facility Use Form.
Superintendent Robbie Binnicker reported that the Palmetto High School press box is scheduled to be ready for the first game. The roof at Palmetto High is complete with grading for the baseball field starting in two weeks. The Technology and Transportation building will be complete and ready in December.
