Barbara Stanton, Carol Taylor, Thomas “Adam” Autry, Cecil Shillings

 

Cecil Shillings

Cecil Charles Shillings of Pelzer, 91, husband of the late Nora Shillings, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022.

Born in Perry, AR, he was a son of the late Earl Monroe and Carrie Ethel Simmers Shillings. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he retired as a long-haul truck driver, and was a member of the American Legion, Post #82.

Survivors include daughter, Tonya “T.J.” Wilson of Pelzer; sons, Danny Shillings of Pelzer, Lell Dean Shillings, Gary Shillings, and Kenny John Fisher; daughter-in-law, Toni Shillings; sister, Patricia “Pat” Hill of Warrensburg, MO; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral service and burial with military honors will be held in Windsor, MO.

Thomas “Adam” Autry

Pelzer – Thomas “Adam” Autry, 39, of Pelzer passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022. Born in Greenville County, he was a loving son of his mother, Devery Major of Pelzer and father, Tracy Autry (Phyllis) of Greenville. 

Surviving in addition to his parents are his dear sister Jordan Duvall; his brother Hugh Campbell and a grandmother who cherished him, Shirley Cooper (Danny) all of Pelzer. 

He was predeceased by his grandfather Tommy Major.

A Celebration of Life has not been planned. Rest in Peace Our Sweet Angel.

Carol Taylor

Carol Lynn Stacy Taylor of Piedmont, 75, wife of James Arthur “Jim” Taylor, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Born in Bethel, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Juanita Stacy. She was a homemaker.

Services will be held at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Bethel, Ohio, with burial at Mount Zion Cemetery in New Richmond, Ohio.

Barbara Stanton

Barbara Ann Parker Cash Stanton of Seneca, 83, formerly of Piedmont, widow of Frank Stanton, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Roy Clifford and Lula Mae Welborn Parker.  She retired from Ingles and was a member of Agape Baptist Church in Piedmont. 

Survivors include sons, John Roy Cash of Seneca and Alfred “Al” Wayne Cash, Jr. of Piedmont; brother, Donald C. Parker of Piedmont; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will received friends September 24 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following in the mortuary chapel.  Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
