Myrtice Wilson, Vennie Davis, Brenda O’Shields

Brenda O’Shields

Piedmont – Brenda Steele Frady O’Shields, 78, wife of the late Richard Clarence “R.C.” O’Shields, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Born in West Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Estes Theodore and Lila Mae Dean Frady. She retired as an optician.

Survivors include sons, Reggie O’Shields of Sandy Springs, GA and Ronnie O’Shields of the home; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service was held November 8, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Vennie Davis

Williamston – Vennie Mary Lou Fricks Davis, 86, wife of the late Bobby Howard Davis, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022.

Born in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Azalee Mulligan Fricks. She retired from Ruth’s Fashions in Piedmont.

She is survived by son, Stevie Davis (Donna) of the home; sisters, Melvie Ann Duncan (Larry) of Pelzer, Dora Lee Fountain of Anderson, Eunice Bridges of Piedmont, Myrtle Phillips (Eddie) of Pelzer, and Patricia Knight of Williamston; brothers, Wayne Fricks of Pelzer, Billy Fricks of Toccoa, GA, and David Fricks (Mary Jane) of MI; granddaughters, Jessica Carter, Kimberly Waits, Kayla Davis, and Katelin Davis; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by son, Bobby Keith Davis; sisters, Mary Foster and Elizabeth Bryson; and great-grandson, Christian Carter.

The funeral was held Tuesday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Mortuary Chapel, followed by burial at Pine Lawn Cemetery.

Myrtice Wilson

Pelzer – Myrtice Carolyn Wilson, 87, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.

Born in Pelzer, she was the daughter of the late Truman Woodrow and Truman Littlefield Wilson. She retired from Greenville Memorial Hospital after thirty-seven years. Myrtice was a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 84 for more than fifty years.

 She is survived by sister-in-law, Martha Wilson of Pelzer; nephews, Duane Wilson (Kim) and Todd Morrow (Kristie), all of Pelzer; cousins, Linda Roach and Brenda Gail Davis (Jim), all of Williamston, Robert Easley of Spartanburg; numerous other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and a great-great-great niece.

   She was predeceased by a brother, Harrison “Skeet” Wilson; grandparents, Bomar and Sallie Rogers Littlefield, who helped rear her the first five years of her life, and W.J. “Sweetie” and Lillie Mae Smith Wilson.

 A graveside service was held Sunday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Anderson where visitation followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, P.O. Box 268, Pelzer, SC 29669.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to Tabernacle Baptist Church Youth Group for their faithful and caring service to Myrtice.
