Alford named Wren Middle Principal

The Anderson School District One Board of Trustees has named Nicole Alford the next Principal at Wren Middle School. Alford is currently the Assistant Principal at Wren Middle where she has served for the past five years. Alford has 18 years of experience in education which includes serving as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, instructional technologist, and assistant principal.

Alford received both of her degrees from Anderson University, an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics and a Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision.

“I am honored and excited to become the principal of Wren Middle School. I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence within this wonderful community,” said Alford.

Anderson One Superintendent Robbie Binnicker said of Alford, “Nicole Alford has been an invaluable member of the administrative team at WMS for the past five years. Her skill set and knowledge of Wren Middle make her an ideal candidate. We are excited for what the future holds for Wren Middle staff and students.”

Alford and her husband, Ryan, live in Greenville with their four sons – Clayton, Hudson, Hogan, and Nash. Alford will officially begin her new role on July 1, 2023.
